Privacy Policy
Effective date: 18 August 2026
This policy explains how PeerSlot collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when providers and clients use our scheduling service.
1. Who we are
PeerSlot provides booking pages, availability management, appointment requests, recurring sessions, client records, and scheduling notifications. For questions or privacy requests, contact privacy@peerslot.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information created while you use PeerSlot, and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
- Account and identity information, including name, email address, profile image when provided by a sign-in provider, email-verification status, and authentication credentials or tokens.
- Provider profile and booking-page information, including display name, professional title, time zone, appointment duration, rest time, minimum notice, public booking link, and publication status.
- Scheduling information, including availability windows, appointment dates and times, recurrence choices, booking status, reschedule history, session color, and exceptions to recurring sessions.
- Client records entered by providers or clients, including name, email address, comments, and appointment history.
- Communications generated through the service, such as verification emails and booking-request, acceptance, or decline notifications.
- Technical and security information, such as session identifiers, IP address, browser or device user agent, language preference, request logs, and failed-booking or rate-limit events.
3. How and why we use information
Depending on the context and applicable law, we rely on performance of our contract, steps requested before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing PeerSlot, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.
- To create accounts, authenticate users, verify email addresses, and provide booking, availability, recurring-session, client-management, and rescheduling features.
- To show providers the clients and appointments they manage and to show visitors the relevant public booking page and available times.
- To send transactional messages about account verification and appointment requests or decisions.
- To prevent duplicate bookings, enforce scheduling rules, investigate errors, protect accounts, limit abuse, and maintain service reliability.
- To comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims.
4. When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to provide and protect PeerSlot, including with:
- The provider or client involved in an appointment. Providers can see the identity, contact details, and scheduling details associated with their clients and bookings.
- Infrastructure, database, email-delivery, security, and authentication vendors acting on our behalf.
- Google when you choose its sign-in option, subject to Google's own privacy terms.
- Authorities, advisers, or other parties when required by law, necessary to protect rights and safety, or connected with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Public booking pages
A published booking page is accessible to anyone with its link and may display the provider's chosen name, professional title, time zone, appointment duration, and open times. It does not publicly display client details or identify who occupies unavailable time. Providers should regenerate a link if it has been shared unintentionally.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain information while an account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Deleting a provider-created client also deletes appointments connected to that client. Some limited records may remain in backups or where retention is legally required. Booking-intent data expires after approximately ten minutes.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Our vendors may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; or complain to a data-protection authority. Signed-in users can export their account data or permanently delete their account from PeerSlot's account page; providers can also use Settings. Email privacy@peerslot.com for other requests. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Children and client information
PeerSlot may be used in educational settings. Providers are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis and any permission required to enter and manage client information, especially for minors. A child should use PeerSlot only with the involvement or authorization required by local law, a parent or guardian, and the relevant educational organization. Please contact us if you believe information was collected without required authorization.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PeerSlot changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
